Terms & conditions
last updated: august 20th, 2026
Definitions
The terms & conditions cover any photography, content, or brand partnership work between Tajinder Kaur ("the Photographer," "I," "me") and the person or business purchasing our products or services ("the Client," "you," or “user”). It applies from the date the Client purchases any service or product or confirms a booking in writing, whichever comes first.
1. How I Work
1.2 Communication
Email is the main channel for anything to do with your project: briefs, timelines, invoices, feedback, changes. If we agree to use WhatsApp, or another channel for a specific project, that agreement needs to be in writing before it starts. Without that, email is the default and the only channel that counts as official communication.
1.3 Working Hours
I don't take calls, messages, or meetings after 6pm or on weekends. If something is urgent, send an email and I'll get to it on the next working day. This isn't a soft preference. It's how I protect the time that makes the work good.
1.4 How We Talk to Each Other
I show up professional and respectful, every time. I expect the same back. Rude, dismissive, or aggressive communication, over email, in person, or anywhere else, is not something I'll continue working through.
1.5 Turnaround
Edited Deliverables are sent within 1–2 weeks of the shoot, unless your proposal states a different timeline.
1.6 Retainers
Work is structured around three retainer tiers: Presence, Story, and Platform. Each gives a different level of access and output. The tier, rate, and deliverables for your engagement are confirmed in your signed proposal. Published rates as of August 2026, subject to change:
Presence: £650/month
Story: £950/month
Platform: £1,500/month
Retainers run monthly with a minimum 3-month initial term. This protects the depth of work retainer clients are paying for, and it's why the rate is lower than one-off project pricing.
2. Term and Termination
2.1 Retainer agreements run monthly with a minimum initial term of 3 months.
2.2 After the minimum term, either party may end the retainer with 14 days' written notice.
2.3 Ending a retainer before the minimum term is complete still requires 14 days' written notice. The Client remains liable for the Fee covering the 14-day notice period. This reflects payment for the notice period only, not the full balance of the minimum term.
2.4 The Photographer may end this agreement immediately for material breach by the Client, including non-payment or misconduct. Fees for work already completed remain payable.
2.5 Force Majeure. Neither party is liable for delay or failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including illness, accident, extreme weather, or events that prevent safe travel or shooting.
2.6 Limitation of Liability. The Photographer's liability is limited to the Fee paid for the Services in question. Nothing in this agreement limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
2.7 Notice. Written notice is valid when sent by email to thetajinderkaur@gmail.com (for the Photographer) or the Client's usual project email address (for the Client). Notice is treated as received the same working day if sent before 5pm, or the next working day if sent after.
2.8 Severability. If any provision of the terms and conditions is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full force and effect.
2.9 Governing Law. This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
