Valentine’s Outfit Advice feat. Unconventional Colours

Stacey Solomon Primark Gold Silk Dress

Constantly lingering on my tongue
Your name has become my favourite word
Impatient yet I could wait an eternity for you
As nothing else in the universe could satisfy me
My deepest joy and biggest fears
All wrapped in one
Incomplete without the other
Shining when together
Like that golden hour shot that we all try to capture
Glowing in the sun’s rays
Happiness radiates from within
Love is clear to see.

Style is the topic of discussion but we’re taking it in another direction. Step away from the typical red and pink options, there’s a new colour in town. Perhaps the Pantone of the year, which happens to be coral or a tone that radiates happiness. You guessed it, I’m talking about yellow, but a muted mustard hue in this instance. It works perfectly as a transition colour, reminds us that spring is around the corner and shines elegantly.

Gold Dress Sporting Streetwear Styling Modest, On Trend and Minimalistic Styling

Remember that yellow Primark dress that every blogger seemed to be wearing on the ‘gram. That’s the one I’m styling for this occasion, keeping it modest, on trend and minimalistic. As temperatures are still chilly, showing some skin might not be ideal for some. In this case, I decided to add a turtleneck to keep the bitter February weather at bay. With comfort in mind and streetwear still being the popular styling choice, I added trainers to complete the outfit. I wanted the dress to shine, to be the statement piece. I kept everything else in neutral tones and accessorised with round studs that shine when the light hits them. This option is ideal for a casual date, girl’s night out, or anyone who wants to keep it simple.

For those who want to leave a lasting impression, serving a fierce attitude and jaw-dropping style to match. I would recommend ditching the trainers, for heels in either black, gold or something with sparkle. The j’adior pumps would work beautifully. As would over the knee boots as the dress has a high slit, to show for your beautiful legs. Paired with a long teddy coat for warmth, there’s no need to layer up. Choose gold-hued dainty jewellery to complete the look and have everyone staring, especially your significant other.
