A year of consistency, in all aspects of life The word of the moment, that I’ll continually refer back to With a plan in mind, a vision in sight 2019 is the year of progression in career and life.
Happy New Year Beauties. Can you believe it’s officially 2019 now? Writing this post feels surreal, I can’t believe how quickly the time went by. So many things can change in the space of a year. I saw the new year in with a cup of chai in hand, happily wrapped in blankets watching the firework displays. Honestly, I was content. There are many more opportunities this year to celebrate with party poppers, balloons and glitter in the air. A new chapter has begun, 365 pages of blank space to fill with colour, happiness and hilarious memories. New rules to implement and goals to achieve. If you haven’t already, get out those new calendars, journals and stationary to start jotting down all the things you wish to achieve. Turn it into an action plan by writing small ways you can get closer to each goal.
As I want to achieve more and procrastinate less, changing my habits is a must. I’m generally a night owl rather than a morning bird, sleeping around 4am. One of my goals is to switch that around. Aiming for a wakeup call of 5am daily. By making a few adjustments, understanding why it’s necessary, I’ll be able to tick this off my list fairly quickly. This also impacts my punctuality for the better, among friends and social events, I have a tendency to be slightly late, emphasis on slightly. Since moving back home, I haven’t had a fixed morning routine. Looking back, it’s been a disaster, affecting me negatively. Luckily, I made a few changes. My morning routine includes meditation, prayers, reading, exercise, showering and getting ready to conquer the day ahead. By 8:20am I have ticked off my daily tasks and still have the day for whatever I desire.
