a state of mutual trust, support and emotions between companions.
Thinking about friendship in modern society, bonds created online are the norm, but don’t forget to translate these friendships into real life. You may not always see them, but they’re only one text away. Keep those who make you genuinely smile close, life is too short to argue over trivial matters. Take a step back, remind yourself why you cherish this friendship in the first place. To the strong women in my life, I appreciate the friendships we’ve created, the bonds that have lasted the test of time. Regularly brightening my life with conversations of gold, messages of support and generally checking up on me. Thank you for making the world a beautiful place to reside in with your presence.
Real friends tell you when you aren’t living up to your potential. They don’t allow you to sit idly or be mediocre whilst believing you’re the greatest.
My inner circle, the gang, squad, whatever you wish to call it. The ones who have witnessed the victories, struggles and hard decisions. The naked truth, vulnerabilities where I was on the verge of tears to the inside jokes, banter and hours of laughter. The ones who have supported regardless of which path I decided to take, sharing words of encouragement and wisdom at each stage. As time continues to move and we begin to grow, change is sitting on the horizon, the natural flow of life. The inner circle begins to develop, growing, shrinking and members swapping for others.
With the theme of friendship in mind, an interest in photography igniting, there was only one path. I decided to step behind the camera to capture magic in my first photography project. Taking two beautiful ladies to Kynance Mews in London I wanted to evoke emotion through these images. A sense of happiness, betrayal and everything associated with different stages of friendship. The medicine to wounded souls who relive the memories even after the contact fades into darkness and strangers is what they become once again. To the excitement of a fresh connection, bringing energy and the willingness to learn into the mix. We’ve all been on either side of the equation, what have you learned from these experiences?
