Fall In Love With Fashion Bloggers Again

A new season approaches, despite the falling snow and dropping temperatures, the thought of Spring is just over the horizon. An ice-cream hued paradise full of romantic sheer, artsy prints and bold power suits, are you ready to step into that world? I know I am, especially when sitting in a room full of baby pink walls, covered in lilac blankets, the excitement of warmer days and fewer layers bring an instant smile to my face. Before we escape to a pastel paradise, let’s discuss something that caught my attention recently. Do you think as fashion bloggers we need to step it up? Think outside of the box? The merit of outfit posts are being questioned, especially when images can be seen on Instagram, why do our audiences need to click on blog links when they’ve essentially already seen the post? Initially, I wanted to write about the SS18 pastel trend, however, a simple OOTD with styling tips for the new season wouldn’t suffice. You could find similar posts elsewhere, so how do I capture your attention enough to keep bringing you back every week?

  • Do I mention something personal like the colour of royalty, strength and this season has a hold on me?
  • Or perhaps mention the things I own like my closet holds various lilac dresses, violet joggers and lets not even mention the make-up options.
  • Not that either? How about I share my favourite pieces in lilac like a short sparkly bodycon, a midi with ruffles, and a simple jumper dress.
  • Still wrong? Is humour the way to go then? Let’s do some quick maths, one tulle skirt plus a patterned bralette times pastel accessories equals one dope outfit.

Let me know what interests you my beauties, I didn’t create this platform to be mediocre, I wanted to share body positivity, style tips and confidence. As new platforms emerge, industries become saturated, the only advice when it comes to blogging is to be authentic, offer something only we can deliver in a spicy way. For me, I focus on creating poetic yet somewhat cryptic pieces, it’s interesting to express myself through the art of language whilst making the journey of the blog post intriguing for the reader.

Before I end this post
I have a short letter to the SS18 trend
Dear pastels
I still want to speak about you
But 400 words in
Who’s attention do I still hold?
I wanted to mention various points
The advantages of wearing colour
How colourful accessories elevate a style
And how to be fierce in colour
Whether head-to-toe pastels
Or just accessories
Paired with neutrals
Or bold bright colours
Own your style with a smile
Over and out beauties

You’re a really good writer! I think you should write about topics that you are passionate about and not just focus on what the audience wants, that way, your article will shine. Looking forward to more!

I would never class myself as a fashion blogger, but with Instagram taking over the world (excuse the dramatic tone) I totally see what you mean by how can you get those people to engage with outfit posts.

Just my opinion and something that would make me click on a fashion post is seeing a certain items in many ways. I love nothing but to see how one item can be incorporated into so many outfits.

Really enjoyed this post and there truly is nothing better than adding colour to your wardrobe

    Much love

Honestly, I love style posts with one item styled in various ways. It’s an expression to the world, so I always say, make it interesting.

Glad you enjoyed my post dear!
